PhD Representation

Currently, about 150 graduate students – coming from all over the world – are working at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried. ​​​​The PhD Association is a network of all IMPRS-ML doctoral students at the MPIB and our partner universities (LMU and TUM). It was founded in 2001 and organizes many activities throughout the year. The PhD association works closely together with the IMPRS Coordination Team and the MPIB PostDoc association.

Graduate Committee

Our Graduate Commitee represents all our PhD students at different levels:

• The PhD Spokesperson of the IMPRS-ML represents all PhD students on the IMPRS-ML Board.
• The MPIB PhD Representatives represent all PhD students within the MPIB and MPG-wide.
• The PhD General Representatives are mainly responsible for organising social and scientific events in close cooperation with the other representatives.
• PhD Departmental Spokespeople are the local contacts within the different research groups at the MPIB.
