MaxLab: Hands-on science for (school) pupils and visitors
MaxLab: Hands-on Science for School Students
The MaxLab is the hands-on laboratory of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry at the Life Science Campus Martinsried. It provides courses for students and visitors of different ages.
School classes are able to choose from four different courses treating different scientific topics, all related to the current research at the institutes. Pupils are able to explore the fascination of life science through their own experiments. A number of other courses, such as a summer science week or courses for younger students supplement the regular courses. All MaxLab visitors will gain practical lab experience and get an insight into the work of a modern research lab.
The courses are designed for different levels of knowledge and are free of charge. Prior registration is required in order to visit.
