Master student

As a Biochemistry intern at Tachibana Group, Areta Mourati´s academic journey spans from a broad chemistry and biochemistry Bachelor's at LMU to a specialized Master's, delving into innate immunity, inflammation, epigenetics, and the organic synthesis of nucleobases. Currently immersed in the Tachibana lab at MPI, Areta is fascinated by the intricate dance of maternal and paternal chromatin during the formation of the first zygote, autonomously developing to shape a human being. She aims to unravel the key mechanisms driving this process and explore the totipotent nature of early embryonic cells.
