Siwat (Chad) earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology followed by a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. During his Master’s project, he helped to develop a computational model for predicting gene expression from DNA sequence, which sparked his interest in bioinformatics and transcriptional regulation. For this reason, he joined the Tachibana lab as a PhD student to investigate the complex regulatory mechanism underlying zygotic genome activation in the mouse using his bioinformatic skills. Outside of the lab, he enjoys cooking, drawing and climbing with his friends.
