Rin Ho Kim

Head of NGS facility

Rin Ho obtained his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He investigated genome-wide DNA methylation changes during embryonic and intestinal stem cell differentiation. Then, he did his postdoctoral work at Helmholtz Munich to identify epigenetic biomarkers from adipose tissue of obese diabetic patients. As of September 2019, Rin Ho is the head of the NGS facility in the Department of Totipotency at MPIB and supports Next-generation sequencing needs for all research groups at MPIB and beyond. Outside the lab, he loves to play basketball and travel with his children.
