
Nikita Rifel
PhD student
Nikita Rifel pursued his BSc (2019) and MSc (2021) degrees in Novosibirsk State University, Russia. There Nikita developed and studied cell culture models of early-stage X-chromosome inactivation in vole trophoblast stem cells. In 2021, he joined the Tachibana lab through IMPRS-LS/ML graduate program in Munich, Germany. Nikita is currently working on the molecular dissection of key transcription factors that are crucial for mouse zygotic genome activation. Nikita is also a PhD student representative, following his passion to organize networking events for his fellow students. Outside the lab, he is known to love swimming and board games.
