Anastasiia Bondarieva has grown up in a once beautiful Ukrainian city, Kharkiv. In 2013, she graduated as MSc from the Biological Faculty at Karazin Kharkiv National University. Anastasiia did her PhD in Germany with Attila Tóth at TU Dresden (DIGS-BB) where she studied DNA repair during meiosis in mouse. She graduated in 2018 and, after a wrap-up postdoc and parental leave, she started her postdoc at MPIB in 2021. Here, she took her interest in germ line cells biology further and now focuses on the chromatin reprogramming in mouse pre-implantation embryos. Apart from science, Anastasiia likes reading fiction, playing boardgames, hiking and baking.
