Yusuf Qutbuddin
PhD Student
Yusuf has a background in physics, he completed his BSc. and MSc. in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. During his master's thesis, he found interest in the physics of biological systems while characterizing LpqH lipoproteins and their interaction with E-cadherin. In late 2020, Yusuf joined the Schwille department as an EU Horizon 2020 MSCA-ITN Early Stage Researcher. He has been working on characterizing and controlling the mechanistic properties of lipid membranes.
Research Interests
Membrane Biophysics; Light Microscopy and Spectroscopy; Polymer-Lipid interactions
